The Joint Commissioning Group was established to develop a common view of addressing drug misuse in Stockport and support the Drug Action Team in the strategic commissioning of appropriate and co-ordinated treatment and care provision. Its remit includes determining levels of need for drug services in Stockport and which services should be commissioned to meet these needs. It also has a central role in ensuring performance is monitored and targets are met.
