Effective information sharing is fundamental to the Safer Stockport Partnership’s ability to discharge its key statutory responsibilities and take action under any provision of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.
Stockport’s Community Safety Partnership Information Sharing Protocol facilitates secure sharing of information between partner agencies in the Safer Stockport Partnership. This overarching protocol sets out the basic principles of data sharing and information governance which partner agencies have agreed, as well as some practical steps to be taken to ensure compliance with these principles.
The Protocol also references the specific sharing initiatives where regular individual-level information sharing takes place and the information sharing agreements developed between parties or terms of reference that document data sharing arrangements for the specific partnership forums or initiatives.
Member organisations in the Safer Stockport Partnership are fully committed to sharing information and have agreed to comply with the principles set out in the protocol.
